I recently stayed at The Station Masters Lodge for the St Ives Food & Drink Festival. It was only a 20 min drive from St Ives and offered an excellent rate. The location was beautiful, with amazing views of the Cornwall countryside and local railway line. The lodge itself was clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed and dog-friendly atmosphere. Karen and Ian, the hosts, were incredibly welcoming, helpful. They even hoisted flags representing our home counties, which was a thoughtful touch. Highly recommended!
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for 2 nights after attending a funeral. The property is small, quiet, and equipped to a good standard. The owners are friendly and helpful. The train line adds interest and the noise is virtually non-existent. Would definitely stay here again.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly and welcoming hosts who made me feel right at home. The self-catering one bed annex was perfect for my needs, with a well-equipped kitchen and a cozy sitting room. I especially loved the view from the bedroom and sitting room, overlooking the beautiful Cornwall countryside and the passing trains on the nearby railway line. The trains were not at all disruptive, and it was actually quite charming to see the train drivers waving as they passed by. The hosts even went the extra mile to hoist flags that were relevant to current events or your home county, adding a personal touch to the experience. The location was ideal for exploring South Cornwall, and the private parking was a huge bonus. It was also dog-friendly, which was a big plus for me. I had a fantastic time at the Station Masters Lodge and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming place to stay in Cornwall.

Our stay at the Station Masters Lodge was fantastic! We got great value for our money as the room had everything we needed and felt like a home away from home. The location was perfect, giving us easy access to nearby attractions and beautiful beaches. The staff, especially Keran and Ian, were super friendly and gave us helpful tips on places to visit and eat.
The morning meal could have been improved with a bit more variety.

The location was beautiful, with easy access to nearby towns and attractions. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, providing recommendations for visits. The property was clean and well-equipped, making our stay comfortable. We also enjoyed the occasional passing of trains, which added a unique touch to the experience.
The quality of the towels could have been better, as they were thin and didn't dry well. Some areas of the property seemed a bit neglected, with overgrown plants and a damp smell in the bathroom and bedroom.

The lodge had a good location for exploring both sides of Cornwall. the hosts were friendly and helpful, and the lodge was dog-friendly. the provision of clean linen and towels was a nice touch.
There didn't seem to be much within walking distance of the lodge, which may be true for most places inland in Cornwall.
